Scott Ardavanis

Mr. Ardavanis pastored for five years at Grace Community Church, and served as an adjunct faculty member at The Master's Seminary, teaching Pastoral Ministry and Preaching. Scott then spent nine years as the senior pastor of Grace Church of DuPage in Chicago, Illinois. He is currently pastoring Placerita Baptist Church in Santa Clarita.

He's all about family - from his Father, the Creator of the Universe, to his wife, the organizer of his universe, to his kids, those spinning particles of uncontainable energy that fly all around his universe.

Abraham, his wife Nancy, and their three kids Abigail, Ethan, and Sophia, live in Portland on the bluff between NE and SE. Abraham studied Biblical Theology at a Bible School in Montana and continued on to receive an M.C.S. in Christianity and Culture from Regent College in Vancouver, BC. Currently he is launching DOXOLOGY, a new church plant in NE/SE Portland (www.DOXCHURCH.com). He loves Jesus, lives for the gospel, and follows God on mission in the city he is called to serve. Abraham teaches at EBC's Portland location.

Before joining the staff at Eternity Bible College, Mark worked with college and high school students at a couple of different churches. After finishing his Master's of Divinity, Mark joined EBC as the Dean of Students, and has been serving there since 2006. He is passionate about building up the body of Christ, training future leaders for the Church, and writing. Though he is interested in many areas of theology and philosophy, Mark is most fascinated with practical theology and exploring the ways in which the Bible can speak to and transform our world. Mark lives in Simi Valley with his wife and two daughters.

Steve Bloom

Steve was "Bar Mitzvahed" at Maarev Temple in Encino. Ten years after becoming a "son of the Law," he became a son of grace. He serves as Chaplain at Grace Chapel, involved with prison ministry, hospital visitation, and ministry to seniors. He and his wife, Lissette, have been married 30 years; they have been blessed with three grown children. Steve enjoys plumbing the great depth of Scripture, and also taking in the broad vistas afforded by the great breadth of God's Word.

Chuck Bomar

After serving for almost nine years at Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, California where he started a college ministry and served as pastor of student ministries, Chuck moved to Portland, Oregon where he started Colossae Church and serves as its pastor. Chuck founded and leads College Leader (www.CollegeLeader.org), an organization focused on helping local church leaders understand and embrace ministry to college-age people. His desire it to help every church, in every context, care for and include college age people in everything they do. This mission takes him all over the country speaking and training leaders. Chuck teaches at EBC's Portland location.

Dr. Bookman has been involved in Christian postsecondary education and ministry since 1973. He has over 25 years of classroom experience including 11 years at Pillsbury Baptist Bible College and 11 years at The Master’s College. He has also ministered as a pastor / teacher at several different churches. He recently spent five years as a National Ministries Representative for Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry. He is an expert in Old Testament History and the Life of Christ.

Brad Buser

Inter-Cultural Studies

After receiving his missionary training at New Tribes Bible Institute, Brad and his family served as missionaries to the Iteri people of Papua New Guinea for 20 years. Their ministry to the Iteri tribe included learning the language, culture, creating an alphabet, teaching God’s word, planting churches and translating the New Testament. God granted them much fruit with hundreds who accepted Christ as Savior and are now reaching and teaching their own people the gospel. Since returning to America in 1999, Brad has served as the West Coast representative for New Tribes Mission as well as the Missions Pastor at Clairemont Emmanuel Baptist Church. He frequently speaks at Christian colleges, churches exhorting this generation to reach the world with the truth of Jesus Christ. He teaches Cross Cultural Church Planting at the Masters College in Santa Clarita, Intro to Tribal Missions at the NTM Bible School in Jackson Michigan, and the book of Acts at the Ecola Bible institute each year.

Mike got the call into ministry while working at the corporate headquarters of a major insurer (1990-2003). He says that his “job began getting in the way of his passion” – pastoral ministry. He tendered his resignation citing that “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few (Mt 9:37).” He was ordained by Cornerstone Simi and is now planting an urban church in Los Angeles (thehollywoodchurch.com).

Nathan Foreman

Since finishing Seminary, Nathan has spent the last two years studying Hebrew and the Bible in Jerusalem, Israel. His love for the land, history, cultures, and languages of the Bible world has grown in the years that he has spent abroad. His long-time desire has been to teach the Bible in a school where the students love and desire God’s Word. Outside of these academic pursuits, Nathan enjoys a wide range of outdoor mountain sports and spending time with his wife and children.

Danny Gardner taught high school for four years at Desert Christian High School in the Antelope Valley before beginning full-time church ministry.  He was the Youth Pastor at Grace Chapel, Lancaster for five years and has recently become the Adult Ministries Pastor there.  His passions include his wife and kids, reading, teaching, anything related to golf (ball, not Frisbee), and the Dodgers.

Serving as a pastor since 2003, Josh is currently shepherding Foothill Church (a church planted in 2009). Besides preaching, counselling and leading a small group, Josh desires to lead the body in being missional through purposeful evangelism and prayer. Josh has been married to his wife Melody since 2004. They have two beautiful daughters and are also in the process of adopting from LA county. Besides enjoying ministry with his wife, Josh enjoys tennis, ping-pong, and working on Bible software. His primary areas of study include Hebrew, Greek, and exegesis of books of the Bible which he loves to teach through (Torah, Isaiah, Wisdom Lit, Minor Prophets, Luke, Hebrews, Pastoral Epistles, and 1st John so far).

Gunner currently serves as the Director of Student Life Programs at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky while pursuing a Ph.D. focusing on biblical languages and biblical theology. He has been married to Cindi since 2002, and they have one son, Judah. Gunner grew up in Oklahoma before spending twelve years in Southern California at The Master’s College and Seminary studying and serving in Student Life. Gunner teaches in EBC's Distance Education Program.

Dwight D. Ham

Dwight is a member at The Church at Rocky Peak where he has served as an Elder and Chairman of the Board.  He taught the singles ministry for several years before deciding to attend The Master’s College to earn a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling.  Dwight has over 25 years experience in business management. He has held executive positions in such businesses as banking, broadcast media, business mergers and acquisitions as well as part owner of a small business in the manufacture of critical components for underwater electrical systems.  Dwight serves on several boards and is active in the community.  In January, 2008, Dwight will be joining the Business Department at the Master’s College where he will be a business professor.  He is married to Kathy thirty four years.  They have two married sons.

Chris Hay

Chris grew up as a pastor’s kid. He served in the pastorate for over 20 years, both in associate and senior roles, before coming to EBC. He is passionate about seeing people live out a radical life-changing commitment to Jesus, and he is deeply burdened for the spiritual health of pastors. He and his wife Dawn are the founders and directors of Zarephath Ministries (ZarMin.org) which provides spiritual retreats for pastors. His hobbies include reading (history, biography, Puritans, mystics), woodworking, and being in God’s glorious creation. He and Dawn homeschooled their two amazing children.

Brad Hayen

Brad and his family have served as full-time missionaries in Central Siberia since 2003. Their focus in ministry is training Russian pastors, church-planters and lay-ministers to interpret the Bible and apply it to their lives and ministries. Brad teaches Hermeneutics and Old Testament at Krasnoyarsk Bible College. They also strive to be an example of a Christian family in a young church plant.

Geoff Leatherman

Geoff Leatherman served as a pastoral intern at First Baptist Church of Perkasie, Pa from 1996-2002. After serving there he an his wife, Stacy, moved to Southern California where he served as an associate pastor for 6 years at Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, Ca. During this time he also served as the Dean of Administration for Eternity Bible College where he helped to legalize and create proper documentation for the college. Currently he is serving with his wife Stacy and daughter Isabella as a community leader at Colossae Church in Tigard, OR. Geoff teaches at EBC's Portland location.

Roger Long

Although brought up with a Baptist heritage, Roger strayed and became deeply involved in the "counterculture" of the 60s; but was converted to Christ near the height of the "Jesus Movement" in 1971. After graduating from college, his journey to find himself theologically led him through a brief study at a Bible college of charismatic persuasion, and then one year at Fuller Theological Seminary, before returning to his Baptist roots. He has pastored churches in Colorado and California. Currently he is semi-retired, and attempts to balance the management of his real estate investments with his involvement in prison ministry and small group leadership at his local church. Roger is happily married, has two adult daughters, enjoys fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. His passion is in the study and teaching of God's Word.

Spencer MacCuish

Spencer MacCuish served on staff (summers) at Hume Lake Christian Camps from 1991-98. During that time (1995-99), he also worked in the public school system where he taught English / History and coached volleyball. While teaching, he also served in the College Ministry at Grace Baptist Church in Santa Clarita. In 1999, he left teaching to lead the High School Ministry at the same church. He shepherded this ministry for three years before coming to Cornerstone. He is currently serving as Campus Pastor at Eternity Bible College.

Doug Main

Doug Main currently serves as the Associate Pastor of Community Bible Church of the Foothills, where he has been ministering for six years. He also frequently fills the pulpit for Calvary Baptist Church of Lamar, Missouri. Prior to his current ministry he served as the Junior High Minister of Grace Community Church (1997-1999), the Pastor to College Students of Hallsville Baptist Church of Hallsville, Missouri (1993-1995), and Co-Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Lamar, Missouri (1993-present). Doug is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with his wife Francesca and their five children. His teaching emphases include the Gospel of Mark, the Book of Romans, and Titus, along with several other subjects.

Dr. Jon Marshall

Jon loves God, his wife, and other people. He loves to lead college students as they do great things for God’s kingdom. He has a passion for teaching in any setting and almost any subject related to the Bible. Outside of work he loves anything outdoors including surfing, swimming, volleyball, golf (Frisbee, not ball), softball, hiking, etc. He should be done with his PhD in 2007.

Bret has spent over 10 years serving in various forms of youth ministry in California, Texas, and Missouri. He is currently the Community Life Pastor at theBRIDGEchurch in Newbury Park, CA. Bret enjoys speaking to groups and has a passion for making disciples of Jesus Christ. Outside interests include time with friends, writing music, Jeep trips, the occasional longboard session, coffee shops, and Chipotle.

Linda McCoy has been serving the women of Cornerstone Community Church since 1999 in various capacities, instructing women in biblical theology and defending the faith against cults. Linda has developed a passion for helping others discern truth from error as a result of her being an active Jehovah's Witness for 20 years of her adult life. She teaches the Discerning the Cults class for women at EBC. In addition, she biblically counsels women, and along with her husband Pat, counsels married couples.

Ryan McGladdery

After four years of college ministry, Scott planted Shoreline Community Church in West Los Angeles along with Brian Colmery. Scott’s passions include teaching, preaching, counseling, discipling, and reaching out to the lost in West LA. Scott has been married to Lara since 2003 and has three children. More than anything, he simply enjoys being with people, and getting to watch as the gospel transforms their (and his) lives.

Matt Moore

Matthew Moore served as a high school intern during three summers (1997-1999) at his home church, Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church and also served for two years in the Inter-Varsity ministry at Cal Poly (1998-1999). Beginning in June 1999 he began serving as the college director at First Baptist Church of San Luis Obispo and led the college ministry until December 2002. A passion to learn God’s Word and pursue full-time ministry led him to the Master’s Seminary in August 2002. In January 2003 he began serving as the University Pastor at Cornerstone Church and is now serving in Leadership Assimilation.

Since completing his undergraduate education, Scott has been actively involved in ministry in many different capacities. He taught Bible at the undergraduate level overseas in Kolkata, India as well as served a local church congregation ministering in the heart of the city of Kolkata. He has also enjoyed teaching and shepherding in several different capacities in local churches in Southern California and Chicago, IL. While finishing his Master's degree at Wheaton, Scott and his wife Katie also managed a transitional home for homeless girls and enjoyed the challenge of incarnating Jesus' love to many different girls that had no other avenue of hearing the Gospel. Currently, he is serves the dual-role of a Pastor at Copperhill Church in Valencia, CA as well as a Text Review Editor for Crossway Books and Bibles.

Justin Peterson

Justin currently serves as Pastoral Intern at Colossae Church in Portland, Oregon. Before moving to Oregon to attend seminary, he spent several years working with and speaking in various student ministries throughout Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Two of those years were spent as Pastor of Student Ministries at Wiregrass Church in Dothan, Alabama. His goal in life is simple: Love God, love people. Justin teaches at EBC's Portland location.

Chuck is the organizing and Teaching Pastor of Prism Church of Los Angeles, located in Pasadena. He has served for nearly two decades in student ministry and church planting, most of that in one of America’s quintessential college towns, Tallahassee, Florida. In addition to his ministry in Southern California, Chuck travels widely speaking at churches and schools. He and his wife, Carolyn, live with their children in Arcadia.

Joshua Sheridan

Josh Sheridan attends Cornerstone SCV where he has been involved in leadership for several years. In addition to doing couples and individual counseling, he helped to start the counseling ministry there and has a passion for equipping other leaders and lay people in the ministry of discipleship and counseling. He spent several years in the secular psychiatric field working on an inpatient unit for their emergency psychiatric evaluation team and as a nurse manager. Though he left the psychiatric field for the more schedule friendly hours of outpatient surgery, the experience he gained in that environment gives him an invaluable insight into what the secular psychiatric approach to mental health is all about, and how a biblical approach is superior. Josh enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, doing outdoor activities and writing Christian fiction.

Dr. Preston Sprinkle

Preston and his wife Christine have three daughters and a son. Before joining the staff at Eternity Bible College, Preston taught in the department of Biblical Studies at Cedarville University for two years. In addition to his love for baseball, Preston and his family love the outdoors (hiking, camping, having fun in the sun) and hanging out with college students.

Jeff Steele

Jeff served on staff at Hume Lake Christian Camps for five summers and has also been on staff with Young Life.  Currently, Jeff leads a community group at Copperhill Community Church in Santa Clarita.  Academically, Jeff has interests in philosophical theology, metaphysics, medieval theology, and apologetics.  When he is not studying, Jeff enjoys snowboarding, backpacking, mountaineering, and spending time with his wife, Kelly.

David Sunukjian

David serves as the staff elder for teaching at Redeemer Church in La Mirada. He has an abiding passion to see spiritual authenticity and maturity in 2nd and 3rd generation Christians. As a second-generation pastor, David is uniquely aware of the blessings and challenges that come from being raised as a Christian in an increasingly post-Christian society. He and his wife, Gina, and their four children live in La Mirada.

Matt is married to Laurel and has three children (Isaac, Liv, and Duren). He served as a college pastor at Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley ('08-'09) and Bethany Church in Long Beach ('03-'08). Matt moved to Long Beach, California where he serves at Common Church which he founded in 2009. Matt has a passion for teaching and living out God's Word and bringing others along with him—learning to be the church as a family. Matt usually has multiple house-guests and enjoys coaching his son's soccer and baseball teams.

AJ Swoboda and his wife, Quinn, planted and serve Theophilus Church in the Hawthorne District of Portland, Ore (www.theophiluschurch.com). On Friday nights he preaches at Soma, a college-age community on the Westside. AJ is a professor of Biblical studies, theology, and Church history at George Fox Evangelical Seminary, LIFE Pacific College, Canby Bible College, Eternity Bible College, and Concordia. Following his MA (Biblical Studies – George Fox Seminary) he is completing his PhD (Theology - Birmingham, UK) on the Holy Spirit and ecology. AJ loves putting words on paper, butchering the guitar, running on treadmills, playing Risk, the Office, reading, and devouring movies with Kevin Spacey in them. A.J. teaches at EBC's Portland location.

Joshua Walker

Joshua Walker was a Mechanical Engineer working in the aerospace industry for eight years from 1995-2003. During that time he served at Rolling Hills Covenant Church in Rolling Hills, California in many leadership roles (deacon, elder, committee chairman, Bible instructor). With a passion to serve Christ more, he entered seminary in 2001 and began to pursue whatever ministry God intended for him. He is currently blessed to be serving as the President of Eternity Bible College.
