The Beginning of Eternity by
Mark Beuving It started with a church’s desire
to fulfill its calling to equip people for ministry. Under
the leadership of Francis Chan, Cornerstone Community Church
had been developing as a body of believers that cared deeply
about Jesus Christ being known and loved—both here
in Simi Valley and in every place around the world...
Jon Marshall: Heart, Mind, and Action by
Mallory Smith “Your dad is phenomenal,” Jon
Marshall recalled a friend’s comment, “and
if I had to choose five people to conquer the world with
me, your mom would be one of them.” Jon was raised
by a pastor and a college professor. His dad devoted himself
to a church of 150, led them as they grew in number to

word. Being a passionate follower of Christ, you form a plan
to move to the other side of the world in order to share
God’s word with others...

how much money they can get out of their students and whether
or not their students make them look good to society. At
EBC, the difference is outstanding. I don’t attend
a college where my resources are depleted and my success
is a means to earn someone else’s favor. I attend
a college where people give everything they have to push
me to know and love Christ and to make him known. I attend
a college where staff has purposed to walk with me, encourage
me, challenge me, strengthen me, and guide me. I cannot
tell you what a privilege it is to be here...
