Francis Chan is the founding pastor of Cornerstone Community Church and author of Crazy Love, Forgotten God, and Erasing Hell. He is also featured in the BASIC video series. He travels throughout the world challenging Christians to a higher commitment to Christ. He is currently active with Children’s Hunger Fund, African Renewal Ministries, and World Impact.

Joshua Walker was a Mechanical Engineer working in the aerospace industry for eight years from 1995-2003. During that time he served at Rolling Hills Covenant Church in Rolling Hills, California in many leadership roles (deacon, elder, committee chairman, Bible instructor). With a passion to serve Christ more, he entered seminary in 2001 and began to pursue whatever ministry God intended for him. He is currently blessed to be serving as the President of Eternity Bible College.

Spencer MacCuish served on staff (summers) at Hume Lake Christian Camps from 1991-98. During that time (1995-99), he also worked in the public school system where he taught English / History and coached volleyball. While teaching, he also served in the College Ministry at Grace Baptist Church in Santa Clarita. In 1999, he left teaching to lead the High School Ministry at the same church. He shepherded this ministry for three years before coming to Cornerstone. He is currently serving as Academic Dean at Eternity Bible College.

Chris grew up as a pastor’s kid. He served in the pastorate for over 20 years, both in associate and senior roles, before coming to EBC. He is passionate about seeing people live out a radical life-changing commitment to Jesus, and he is deeply burdened for the spiritual health of pastors. He and his wife Dawn are the founders and directors of Zarephath Ministries (ZarMin.org) which provides spiritual retreats for pastors. His hobbies include reading (history, biography, Puritans, mystics), woodworking, and being in God’s glorious creation. He and Dawn homeschooled their two amazing children.

Nicole Carstensen graduated college knowing that she wanted to be involved in full time ministry. She started that journey by working at Thousand Pines Christian Camp in Crestline, California as the Program Registrar. At Thousand Pines she met a Pastor from Cornerstone who asked her to consider applying to work at EBC. The rest is history and she began working at Eternity Bible College in the Spring of 2005. Since working at EBC she has developed a passion and love for serving the students at EBC and she can't picture herself doing anything else.

Yvonne and her husband Tom moved to Simi Valley in 1998 after spending ten years serving in a church in Chatsworth, California. While raising their three children Yvonne also worked in the graphic design industry and served in the Women's ministry at Cornerstone. With the understanding that her life as a mom of small children was a temporary calling, she followed the prompting of God and enrolled as a student at EBC to become better equipped for his service. Yvonne’s passion is for people to pursue God with their hearts and minds. Yvonne is blessed to be able to work at EBC and in addition to working at the library spends time hanging out with and mentoring students.

Preston and his wife Christine have three daughters and a son. Before joining the staff at Eternity Bible College, Preston taught in the department of Biblical Studies at Cedarville University for two years. In addition to his love for baseball, Preston and his family love the outdoors (hiking, camping, having fun in the sun) and hanging out with college students.

Before joining the staff at Eternity Bible College, Mark worked with college and high school students at a couple of different churches. After finishing his Master's of Divinity, Mark joined EBC as the Dean of Students, and has been serving there since 2006. He is passionate about building up the body of Christ, training future leaders for the Church, and writing. Though he is interested in many areas of theology and philosophy, Mark is most fascinated with practical theology and exploring the ways in which the Bible can speak to and transform our world. Mark lives in Simi Valley with his wife and two daughters.

Andre Makapagal

Andre and his wife Laura have two children and a rabbit named Chuck. He is guiding EBC in the development and growth of their Distance Education program and anything else Joshua wants him to do! Prior to joining the EBC team, he served as the President/Founder of an online company in the restaurant industry. For the past 17 years, he has served as an Advertising and Marketing Executive in the Fortune 25 corporate environment. Besides his love for Jesus, he enjoys golf and hanging out at the beach with his family.

 

David Quinn

David started following Jesus when he was nine, grew up in the San Fernando Valley, and went to college with the plan of graduating and moving to a jungle somewhere. Instead, he started serving in high school ministry and worked for nine years at a Christian relief and development agency serving children in need. He gained experience traveling, teaching and learning from the global church in over fifteen countries, while developing strategic partnerships and evaluating the effectiveness of programs. He is passionate about organizing massive amounts of information and turning it into stories. He is excited to use this and his other nerd skills at EBC. David and his wife Anna live in Simi Valley and serve in various ministries at Cornerstone Church.

Kristen began taking her Christian faith seriously when she experienced the Joshua Wilderness Institue at Hume Lake from 2001-2002. When she came back from working two summers at Hume Lake she completed her AA in Ventura and then transferred to the wonderful city of Seattle to finish her schooling because of her love for rain and coffee. Since moving back to Southern California, she has enjoyed her work at EBC and getting to know the students and sharing in what God is teaching us. She also enjoys serving at EV Free Camarillo with the Emmaus group.
