As an auditor, you are not required to do any of
the coursework. But many auditors choose to submit assignments. If
you decide to submit a writing assignment, this style guide will
be helpful.The purpose of the style guide is both to assist students
in writing and formatting their papers and to provide a degree of
uniformity in our writing. This is helpful for both students and
professors (professors have a consistent standard for evalutation;
students can master one formatting system, rather than readjusting
for each class).
These guidelines are the starting point for all
papers in all classes, but each professor has the freedom to adjust
the requirements for that particular class. Please check with your
professor for any formatting adjustments.
With some exceptions, the EBC Style Guide is based
on standard MLA formatting (8th edition). Our intention was to create
a standard formatting guide that would simplify a notoriously complicated
process. Most of the formatting requirements should be the default
settings in Microsoft Word, but please check your settings to ensure
that they are correct.
