About Distance Learning
EBC is now offering distance learning courses. One of our core values is to maintain a biblically sound partnership with the local church. We believe that offering distance learning will enable us to fulfill that value by allowing students to study within the context of their local church rather than relocating to Simi Valley.

Our distance learning combines the high quality education that EBC is known for with individual discipleship from each student's local pastor. As students work through guided reading and online discussion, they will apply what they are learning through hands on ministry in their local church.

Over time both the Certificate of Biblical Studies and Bachelor of Biblical Studies programs will be offered. During the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semesters, we will offer three courses at a time. These courses will fill requirements for both degree programs. After these first semesters, we will continue offering more courses through distance learning.

In Fall 2010, we will offer three classes:

• Bible Study Methods
• Old Testament Survey I
• Introduction to Discipleship Counseling

In Spring 2011, we plan to offer three additional classes:

• Old Testament Survey II
• Old Testament Backgrounds
• New Testament Survey

All six of these classes are required classes for both degree programs.

Students interested in distance learning should apply to EBC using our Distance Learning Application. All distance learning classes follow the same academic calendar as our Simi Valley campus. Each semester lasts 15 weeks, with the Fall semester beginning in August and the Spring semester beginning in January.
