First-time students are those students
who are attending a college or university for the first time. First-time
students are responsible to fill out the normal
application and references.
Home-schooled students are encouraged
to apply at EBC. Due to broad range of home-schooling techniques,
however, we also require the following procedures in addition
to the normal application
and references:
- The applicant’s
parent(s) shall submit a high school transcript with
course descriptions* signed by the school administrator with
a graduation date included.
- The Admissions Office may interview
the applicant’s
parent(s) regarding schooling, curriculum and procedures.
- Any
student may be placed on academic probation for the first
semester at the discretion of the Admissions Office. Any
student with a GPA of less than 1.3 at the end of the first
semester will be dismissed from the college program. After
one year, the student may apply for re-admission.
- A GED or California
High School Proficiency Exam is highly recommended and in some
instances may be required at the request of the Admissions
Office.
- Since
some home-schooled students graduate from high school at an
earlier age than their non-home-schooled counterparts, EBC
retains the right to defer an applicant until such time it
deems appropriate.
*Course Descriptions are not required if the home school program
is offered through a school accredited by ACSI or WASC.
High school seniors are eligible for enrollment
provided that they have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. All students
registered under this provision will be placed on academic probation
for their first semester. Ineligible students are encouraged
to audit EBC classes. This will give them a decisive educational
advantage upon entering college.
Eternity Bible College requires all transfer
students to submit the normal
application and references. Students
who have attained a Bachelor degree from an accredited institution
only need to submit official college transcripts showing
their Bachelor degree, and not their official high school transcripts. Transfer
students who have attained an Associate degree from an accredited
community college must submit their official high school transcripts
as well as their official college transcripts.
If a transfer student has not completed
a degree at an accredited institution but has completed some
units at a community college or four year university, they
are required to submit their official high school transcripts,
as well as official transcripts from the community college
or university that they attended.
EBC allows students to transfer up to 32 credits of theological
education from other colleges and universities on the following
basis:
- The course being transferred
has an EBC equivalent and was completed with a minimum grade
of C.
- The college from which the transfer comes
is theologically compatible with EBC.
Determination of equivalency and theological
compatibility will be made by the Office of the Registrar on
a case by case basis. Final
authority for the acceptance or rejection of transfer credits
rests with the Office of the Registrar. Official transcripts
must be received in order to evaluate the credits.
Former Eternity Bible College students
who have not attended Eternity Bible College for more than
one semester have to apply to Eternity Bible College for readmittance. If
you left Eternity Bible College with a grade point average
of at least a 2.0 or higher, you have to fill out the basic
readmittance application.
If you were academically dismissed from
Eternity Bible College, or left Eternity Bible College on Academic
Probation, you must fill out the basic
Eternity Bible College application.
All application deadlines and requirements must be met in order
to be considered for readmission.
Students who desire to audit classes
can do so by filling out the audit/non-credit
registration form. Auditors do not
get college credit for their classes but they can attend class
for personal growth and enrichment. Audit students do not
have to fill out the application for admission, just the audit/noncredit
registration form.
Our specific
mission as a school causes us to restrict admission to evangelical
Christian believers. However, since we believe that God is calling
out a people for His name from every tribe, tongue, and nation,
EBC admits students of any race, age, sex, nationality or ethnic
origin to all the programs and activities of this institution.
Due to biblical convictions, specific classes may have exceptions
based on gender as specified for those classes. EBC does not
unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, age, sex, nationality,
ethnic origin, color, handicap, or prior military service in
the administration of its programs, policies, or activities. |
