We believe that the greatest way that you can support
us is through prayer. This is God's school, and our effectiveness
in training students for ministry is entirely dependent on him.
If you are interested in praying for Eternity Bible
College, we have listed some of our top prayer needs below. We will
update this list as prayers are answered and as our needs develop.
We are now offering online classes. We are excited about the potential
of our distance education program--now people across the country
and around the world can benefit from an education through EBC. Please
pray for us as we develop and implement this new program, pray that
God will lead the right students to this program, and pray for these
students as they learn and grow in a wide variety of contexts.
Our desire is to train people to live and die well, to train students
for a lifetime of ministry. Because of this, our primary concern
is not financial or academic. Our concern is that God be working
in the lives of our students, working in them what we can never
accomplish alone. We ask that you pray for our student body--not
only for the time that they will spend at Eternity Bible College,
but also for their future ministries.
God has blessed EBC with amazing staff and instructors. In addition
to academic skills, our professors bring practical ministry insight.
All of our board members, faculty, and staff are heavily involved
in local church ministries. This gives EBC a pastoral feel, but
it also ensures busy schedules and constant ministry pressures.
Please pray that God will continue to use our board, faculty, and
staff in their ministries in their local churches and at EBC.
We are currently pursuing accreditation through the Association
for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). Reaching accreditation
is a very rigorous process, and we believe that it is an important
step for the future of EBC. We need your prayers for this process
in general, and we also invite you to read our current
statement on accreditation to learn specifically what our needs
are in this regard.
Since Spring 2008, we have been partnering with Youth World International
to provide a study abroad program in Quito, Ecuador. In addition
to earning college credits, students are exposed to a rich culture
and given the opportunity to minister within that setting. Youth
World works with a variety of ministries in and around Quito, so
the students see how cross-cultural ministry works first hand. Please
pray for the missionaries in Quito, and for our students as they
learn and serve in Ecuador.
In order to protect our students from a heavy financial burden, we
rely heavily on the contributions of supporters and local churches.
While this provides amazing partnerships, we are currently building
an endowment that will shoulder a large percentage of the financial
burden in the future. This endowment will likely take some time
to fully establish, but we believe that it will ensure fruitful
ministry opportunities for years to come. Please pray for us as
we seek to establish this endowment.
