In recent years, there’s been renewed debate over how social justice fits into the mission of the church. Is the pursuit of social justice secondary to the call to make disciples? Is it an essential part of the Gospel itself?  Join Pastor Bobby Scott and other local pastors, teachers, and community leaders as we engage the discussion and ultimately consider the most important questions: what does the Bible have to say? And how should we respond?

Take the Full Class: Audit or Earn College Credit

Participants have the opportunity to earn college credit by attending additional class sessions and completing assigned coursework. To earn credit, you must be enrolled as a student at Eternity Bible College. Auditors are welcome to sit in on the class for a small registration fee.  

Class Schedule: Credit students are required to attend every session:

Visiting Professor

Pastor Bobby Scott
Th.M. and M.Div. from The Master’s Seminary

Pastor Bobby serves as an Elder and Pastor of Discipleship at Faith Bible Church in South Gate, California. He is passionate about strengthening the urban church and watching the World of God transform people’s lives through the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Cor 3:18).

In addition to his pastoral ministry, Bobby has years of teaching experience with the Biola Bold Program, and the Los Angeles Bible Training School. He has also shared at a number of conferences around the US, including the West Coast Gospel Coalition and Iron Sharpens Iron Men’s Conference.

He was the General Editor of Secret Sex Wars: A Battle Cry for Purity, and also contributes to Truth in the City and Covenant Eyes. Follow Pastor Bobby on Twitter for updates and more thoughts.

He repented and believed in Christ in 2008, is a current member of Christian Bible Fellowship in West Covina, and has been married to his wife, Alyssa, for 2 1/2 years.

P.J. Tibayan pastors Bethany Baptist Church in Bellflower, Southeast Los Angeles where he lives with his wife Frances and their five children. He blogs at gospelize.me, helps lead The Gospel Coalition Los Angeles Regional Chapter and serves on the leadership council of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention.
